True Blood Tuesday: Radioactive, Season Six Finale!!! MAJOR SPOILERS!

Season six, Episode ten….SEASON FINALE!!! DO NOT READ if you haven’t watched the show and/or don’t want to be spoiled.

Sookie & Alcide: It’s after the funeral; the crowd has cleared out, apart from Sookie and Alcide. Al approaches her while she’s zoning out, watching the gravediggers bury Terry. Sook wants to take a little walk and asks Al to join her. Al says he sometimes wishes he could be a telepath to see what she’s thinking. Sook: “Believe me, my head is the last place you’d want to be.” Alcide: “That ain’t true.” Al starts sniffing something in the air…vamps. Al and Sook see Jess, Tara, Bill, Pam, Jason, Violet, etc. still pretty high on Bill’s blood heading for Bill’s mansion. Most of them start doing random things in the front yard—some start having sex, others feed on a willing Ginger, etc. Bill, however, looks disturbed and heads inside. Sookie decides to go over there against Al’s warnings. She says she’s a survivor, too and she’ll be okay. Al is none too thrilled.

Sookie & partying vamps: The vamps are dancing around to some old music, having sex, burning their camp jumpsuits. Violet is feeding on Jason—he wants to have sex, but she’s not ready yet. Instead, Violet offers him her blood; he hesitates, but she yells at him to take it. About then is when Sook arrives, calling his name. Well, Violet freaks the hell out, not believing Sook’s his sister, despite Jason repeatedly saying so. Finally she believes Sook and Jason and kisses Sook (like, full on the lips), saying she is now her sister, too.

Pam and Tara whiz up to Sook and hug her (yes, even Pam). Bill watches from inside, looking distraught as Sook leaves.

Sookie & Warlow, back in fairyland: Warlow is busy putting together an alter of sorts, a maypole. According to Warlow, when night falls, they each take a vine, circle the maypole, and once fully entangled, they use their light to render the one closed circle into two (it’s a pendant he wears). Sookie isn’t ready to marry—her friends are safe and he’s no longer in danger. A life of eternity together should be based on more than a bargain. She asks him to date her—to get to know her friends, etc.

SON OF A FREAKING BLEEP…Warlow just hit the hell out of Sookie, grabbed her by the neck, and said, “Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?”

Jess, James, Jason, & Violet: Playing volleyball. Violet is jealous of the connection Jess and Jason have, so she serves one heck of a ball that slams into Jessica’s shoulder, knocking her on her butt. Violet says, “Oh, sorry, out of practice.” Uh, a little possessive, are we, Vi?

Pam & Tara: Pam is sulking by a tree. Tara approaches her, and Pam essentially confirms she’s going after Eric. Pam asks if Willa has realized Eric’s gone yet. Tara doesn’t think she has. Tara gives her hell for wanting to go after Eric. Pam doesn’t want to release Tara, but she will if she pushes her. Pam tells her to take care of Willa…and up, up, and away goes Pam—Tara is pretty angry.

Bill & Jess: As Jess runs into the room, Bill finds he can’t freeze things midair any longer. It appears he has lost his Billith powers. He’s just Bill again—it isn’t a bad thing…except he can’t save Sookie. Bill is finally realizing he sacrificed Sookie in exchange for Warlow’s blood. He fears for her, knowing he can’t save her, he can’t make up for the pain he caused her. He confesses that Sookie is to be made vampire and there’s nothing he can do. Jess: “Bill Compton would have walked through fire to save her life.”

Note: OMG, I’m getting all teary, remembering Bill and Sookie from the very first season.

Jason, Bill, Violet, & Jess: They tell Violet and Jason everything (Jason isn’t happy with Bill AT ALL). The only way to get into fairyland is to get Andy’s last remaining daughter and use her light to gain entrance.

Bill & Professor: Bill releases the prof he had been holding in his mansion. He glamours him to not remember anything or anyone—he leaves him a bag at his feet, hoping it will help him and his family. Inside the bag is LOADS of money.

Jason, Violet, Andy, Holly, & Adilyn at Bellefleur manor: Jason pleads for Adilyn’s help, though Andy is staunchly against it. Adilyn overhears his thoughts and knows he’s not b.s.’ing her. Violet assures Andy she isn’t into fae; only Jason. He explains that he needs her light to help get on their plane. Adilyn needs to do this, since she couldn’t save her sisters. Andy reluctantly agrees, but only if he can go…and go in heavy. They get all kinds of anti-vamps weapons together before leaving.

OOOOH, this is getting MAJOR! The buildup is intense…

Warlow & Sookie: He has now tied her to the maypole and used his light to secure her to the vines. The void he needs to fill is not something Sookie can fill, as she tells him; Warlow, however, is convinced she is the one who can fill it. She threatens to throw her ball of light away because he doesn’t want a vampire bride—he wants a fairy-vampire bride. Zooming up to her, Warlow swiftly ties BOTH of her hands above her head and seals it with his light. He says it turns out he does just want to eff her, own her, and use her for her blood. Sook calls him an effing monster. Warlow smiles—night has fallen—he bites her neck.

HURRY UP, HURRY UP, HURRY UP!

Bill, Andy, Jason, Adilyn, & Violet: Adilyn communicates with Sookie in fairyland—Sook says, “Please, I don’t want to be a vampire.” Outside of fairyland in the Bon Temps graveyard, Bill & Co. are trying to get Adilyn to use her fairy light, but she’s struggling. Bill tries encouraging her. He tells everyone to join hands…nothing. OMG, HURRY UP! Bill says scaring usually unlocks their extra talent, but he clearly doesn't want to scare her. Violet: “Why didn’t you just say so? Harness your EFFING POWER!” She scares the holy crap out of Adilyn, who lights up immediately. They all join together and are transported to fairyland.

When they arrive, Bill sees the alter/maypole shaking and knows Warlow has started to turn Sookie. He tells the others to take care of Sookie…he’s going after Warlow.

Bill zips over, slams into Warlow, and pushes him off of her. He sees Sook being cradled by Violet. Bill shoves Warlow against a stake-like thing, but it misses his heart. Bill tells the others to take Sookie and leave him to fight Warlow.

Andy, Jason, Violet, Sookie, Adilyn back in Bon Temps, roaring up to Sook's house in Andy's car: Jason, carrying an unconscious Sookie into her house invites Violet inside. He carries her upstairs, puts her on the bed, and Violet feeds Sook her blood.

Warlow & Bill in fairyland: Warlow removes himself from the stake-thing and starts to glow—Bill grabs his leg and transports with him. Once back in Bon Temps, Warlow zips off for Sookie’s house, leaving Bill in the graveyard.

Andy & Warlow: Andy screams to Jason that Warlow is coming. A body crashes into Sookie’s window; smiling, Andy then says he got him! OH NO YOU DIDN’T! Warlow is standing behind Andy—he carries him into the house and drops him on the floor.

Violet & Jason: Jason and Violet confront Warlow just inside the house. But neither of them are any match for Warlow, who knocks Violet unconscious. Warlow glamours Jason and asks him where to lock him up. Jason and Andy get tossed into the cubby with Adiyln. Adilyn is using her light to try and unlock the door (Warlow sealed it with his light).

Bill & Warlow: Bill arrives with a stake, but the shield keeping him from entering her house prevents him from attacking Warlow (b/c she rescinded his invitation, he can’t get into Sookie’s house). Warlow taunts him before sending him flying into the driveway with his fairy light.

Warlow & Sookie: OH OH OH—Sookie’s not in her bed!!!!!!!! She’s in her bathroom, trying to harness her ball of light. Warlow finds her…and GRANDPA STACKHOUSE partially breaks through that portal in her bathroom, grabs Warlow, and…JASON SHOWS UP AND STAKES HIM! Warlow explodes in a ball of icky ooze. Sookie and Jason help their grandpa escape that other world.

When he explodes, Bill, Jess, James all sort of glow and shimmer.

Cut to…

A NAKED ERIC in Sweden, stretched out on a chaise lounge in the sun amongst snow-covered hills, reading a book. As soon as he glows…OH NO OH NO OH NO…he bursts into flames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! END OF SCENE!!!

NOTE: I think it’s imperative to note that this was a full frontal scene of Eric Northman. Like I said…I think it’s an important detail, you know, to the story and all.

SIX MONTHS LATER…

We start with a news program talking about Hep-V (which is growing everyday and mutating). The anchor talks about And God Bled, which is a best seller, penned by Bill Compton. Bill basically wrote a book about his entire experience as Billith (a god), even admitting to murdering the governor.

Sookie is watching his interview from her couch at home (she has a warm, caring…maybe longing…look on her face). Alcide walks into her living room, half-naked (WOW). Awwww….Al and Sook are together. He throws her over his shoulder and carries her to bed.

Jason & Violet in his basement, which is all decked out in her style: With Bill’s voice in the background (he wrote the book to establish trust and to come all the way out of the coffin), Jason is, uh, taking the downtown route on Violet. Once Violet is all happy, we find out that Jason has been doing exactly this for 178 nights in a row, sometimes multiple times a night…and she hasn’t once gone all the way with him or otherwise touched him in his nether regions. She simply says she wasn’t going to make it easy…it will happen in due time.

Sookie, Alcide, Sam, Andy, Jason at church: Sam and Andy are having a semi-heated argument in front of the church. Andy says he and his daughter won’t be showing up tonight. Sam says Bon Temps is on its own. They don’t trust the government. Inside the church, they’re all getting their blood tested.  Jason tells Sook that they’re checking to see if they’re “carriers.” Sookie’s blood was taken.

Reverend Daniels (married to Tara’s mom) gets up and talks about togetherness. Reverend Daniels and the other reverend have combined their congregations this day. Reverend Daniels doesn’t see too much togetherness. He shifts the churchgoers and makes them switch seats & greet someone new. Sookie meets a little girl; as the rev. talks about vampires looking to feed, Sook asks if the little girl is okay, to which she says she is all right. He talks about sick (Hep V infected) and hungry bands of vampires on the march wiping out small towns like theirs. He hands the crowd over to Sam…

Sam, now the MAYOR of Bon Temps talks: He explains that the blood tests are for Hep V. Infected vampires aren’t as strong as healthy uninfected vampires. Bill and Sam have apparently been working together to figure out a way to save their town and the humans against the uber-hungry, infected vampires. Bellefleur’s Bar & Grill (what was once Merlotte’s now belongs to Arlene) is sponsoring a social with free food, drinks, and music. The catch? For everybody’s safety, Sam asks that single, uninfected adults in this room agree to a monogamous feeding relationship with a healthy vampire in exchange for that vamp’s protection for them and their children. Some churchgoers walk out in disgust. Every human needs a vamp; every vamp needs a human. Sam hopes to see everyone at the social…if he doesn’t—God be with them.

James (now a singer in a band), Jess, a heavily pregnant Nicole, Sam, Sookie, Alcide, Jason, Violet, Tara, Willa, etc. at Bellefleur’s Bar & Grill: They’re all enjoying James’ music. Jess looks around—something’s bothering her. Sookie and Alcide share their blood test results—both are negative.

Tara’s mom asks to talk. Willa introduces herself to Tara’s mom; Tara’s mom implores Willa to ask Tara to talk to her.

Tara & her mom: Her mom, crying, begs for Tara’s forgiveness, apologizing for every little thing she did wrong as a mother. Tara’s mom then wants to make it right…by offering her neck to feed her daughter. At first, Tara can’t do it. But as her mama begs to nourish her baby girl, Tara bites her neck.

NOTE: Okay. I want to believe her mom is trying to be nice but…what if she’s really infected with Hep-V? What if she believes ‘saving’ or ‘helping’ her daughter includes ending her life as a vampire??

Andy & Adilyn at Bellefleur manor: There’s a knock on the door. Andy grabs his gun. It’s Jess. Opening the door, Andy immediately points his gun at Jess. Jess is just there to offer them protection—she wants to offer them peace of mind that they’ll be safe. And she’s not asking for their blood. She gives him her word. Andy: “What if I don’t want it?” Jess: “You’ve got it anyway.” Andy wants to shoot her, but ultimately can’t. Jess walks away—I’m not sure what that concerned, worried face means, but I guess, ultimately, that means Andy and Adilyn have Jessica’s protection. It almost seemed like she was standing guard in front of the house in her last scene.

Sookie, Alcide, & Bill: As Sook and Al walk to his car, Bill shows up, asking for a moment alone with her. Al: “No effing way.” Bill wants to know if Sook has made any arrangements to be with a vampire. When Sookie says she hasn’t, Bill offers her his protection. He says she needs security. Al: “She has me.” Bill: “You’re not good enough.” Al growls and his eyes turn yellow. Bill: “You can growl all you want, bright eyes, but it doesn’t change the truth.” OMG, AWESOME line. Bill says he has changed. Sookie tells him that even at his best, she couldn’t fully trust him. She then says she’ll take her chances (with Alcide).

Bill and Alcide both smell something. From the woods, we see a small group of blood-covered, Hep-V-infected vampires heading their way…a group that grows and grows and grows. As the camera angle pans up, we see a growing hoard of hungry vampires heading for Bellefleur’s Bar & Grille…and all of the happy, BBQ-goers.

END OF SEASON! Talk about a cliffhanger!!!

Thoughts & Highlights:

-Personally, this finale had it all, including a kick-ass cliffhanger.

-The old Bill is BACK. Just like Alcide, I’m happy to have him back to his old self.

-I was also happy to see a Sookie/Alcide pairing, although I would’ve liked more time to see them develop into a couple.

-Still feel like Sookie has feelings for Bill…feelings she is fighting. Maybe it’s because they are married off-screen, but they have far too much chemistry to not be together.

-ERIC. So help me if they let Eric die. I wouldn’t handle that well at all. True Blood without Eric isn’t True Blood at all. Question is, could Pam get there in time to maybe bury him beneath the snow (I’m thinking the snow would be a good thing if you’re, you know, combusting) before she bursts into flames??

-Sarah Newlin. Well, I’m guessing we’ll be saying, “She’s ba-ack” at some point. There still needs to be closure with that witch. In fact, I think this would be my only gripe on the season—that we didn’t get to see her get what she deserves.

-I had this Walking Dead-like impression when the hoard of infected vamps began approaching Bellefleur’s Bar and Grill. It’s interesting—maybe the infected vamps are a play on zombies, only they’re more dangerous because they can actually think.

Scene of the night: Oh, wow, I dunno. SO MANY. Saving Sookie, Eric’s, um, scene…the ending…I have to say, I can’t pick. There were too many in this episode. Dang, that makes me happy to say! :)

Line of the night: Bill to Alcide: “You can growl all you want, bright eyes, but it doesn’t change the truth.”

 

True Blood Tuesday: Life Matters

Season six, Episode nine

Sookie, Warlow, & Bill in fairyland: Sookie pulls an unconscious Warlow into her arms, asking him to come back to her. Bill says he needs what little blood Warlow has to save Jess and the other vampires. Sook tells him Warlow is too weak to be moved and could die if they try. Bill really could care less. Sook then bites into her own arm; Bill’s fangs pop out when he smells her blood, much to Sookie’s disgust (“Seriously? I’m gnawing at my own arm and you’re going to drop fang on me?”). Sook begins feeding Warlow her blood. As soon as he responds to her blood, Bill grabs Warlow’s neck, ready to take him to the camp. Completely annoyed, Sookie sarcastically informs Bill that Eric has more of Warlow’s blood coursing through him than Warlow does—go grab him and use his blood. With a firm hold of Warlow’s neck, Bill demands he tell him how to get out of there or Sookie dies. Wow. Even Sookie flinched at his words. Warlow refuses to show him how and tells Sookie to use her light. At first, she’s not convinced it will work, but Warlow assures her it will, and…it does, and Bill flies out of fairyland and into the Bon Temps graveyard.

Eric (it’s now daytime): Our sexy Viking arrives at the camp, flashes his fangs, and zips off.

Arlene at the funeral: Arlene arrives at Terry’s funeral and is greeted by Tara’s mom and the minister. She thanks him for coming on such short notice; Tara’s mom awkwardly says they wouldn’t miss it for the whole world.

Sookie & Warlow, still in fairyland: Warlow is feeling better. Before she leaves, he heals the bite she made on her arm for him to feed from. He knows she promised herself to him and she intends to honor her promise. After making certain he is okay, Sookie leaves fairyland for the funeral.

Arlene & Sookie at the funeral: Arlene continues to greet guests, including Andy, Sam, Nicole, Sookie, and Holly, among others. Terry’s grandmother loudly calls Sook a weirdo. Sookie sits next to Hoyt’s mother—Hoyt’s doing well and has a new girlfriend, who she is very happy is not a bloodsucking redhead. Our gentle giant, Alcide, shows up (looking HOT. Is that bad to think during a funeral?), and wants to sit with Sookie, but she told him she was saving the seat for Jason. Alcide turns to stand elsewhere; Sookie thanks him for coming.

NOTE: God, I cannot tell you how happy I am that Alcide is BACK. Sigh.

Bill at the camp: Bill sees the carnage Eric has left in his wake—lots and lots of severed body parts scattered all over the place.

Eric in the halls of the camp: Carrying severed arms, Eric uses them to open one door after another. He finally finds the main doctor dude responsible for supplying the Hep V & injecting Nora…OMG…and rips off his penis. Eric says he’ll return to make sure he bleeds out. Eric zooms into male Gen Pop and frees all the vamps; one young male vamp stays behind because his maker is on a slab. Eric opens the door and pulls out the slab—the guy’s maker is dying from the Hep V. Eric apologizes, closes the door, and tells the guy his maker is going to die a horrible death and it’s up to him whether or not he chooses to stay and watch.

Bill: Bill stumbled upon the dying doc who had his manhood removed by Eric. Bill asked for the identity of the vampire who did that to him; he confirms it was Eric, and then begs to be killed. Bill asks if he ever had any interaction with Jessica…and if he harmed her in any way. The doctor nods and says yes. Bill then happily stomped on the doc’s face, flattening it and his brain into a bloody mess.

Andy’s eulogy: Andy spoke of the weight Terry carried with him after returning from service. Flashback: Andy is remembering visiting a distraught and distant Terry at Fort Bellefleur. Terry calls out to Andy, asking for “Raging Bitch” beer, the only kind of beer the American soldiers enjoyed while overseas. Terry, dressed in camouflage, finally appears before Andy, telling him he has no idea what he did for their country. Andy tried to bring Terry back home with the possibility of reuniting him with a woman he must have liked (but when Andy admitted she now had kids, Terry ran around to hide behind a bush, yelling that he can’t be around kids) and getting him a job. Nothing worked.

Bill at the camp: Working his way through the halls, Bill sees both male and female Gen Pop members torturing the humans in the same ways they did to the vampires (making them run on wheels, pulling out their teeth, etc). He asked a passing vampire about Eric, but no one knows where he went.

Eric & Jason: Eric finally finds the Gen Pop room where Jess, Pam, Tara, and Willa were held. After releasing the vamps, he finds Jason lying on a bench, weak with bite marks all over him. Once Violet was taken to the white circular room, the other female vamps turned to him for blood. Jason tells Eric they took their friends away. Eric recalls Jason’s anger and prejudice towards the vamps the last time they saw each other. Jason admitted he said some pretty hateful things. Eric feeds Jason his blood so he is strong enough to lead him through the maze that is the camp. Eric: “When you dream of me, dream of nice things.”

Jason now completely healed leads Eric through the halls and past some dead doctors and guards. Once they’ve left, Sarah Newlin pops up from beneath some of the dead bodies and runs away in the opposite direction.

Sam’s eulogy: Sam mentions his worry about giving Terry a job at Andy’s request, but also remembers him as the most loyal friend he ever had. Flashback: Sam joins Andy at camp Bellefleur with some ‘Raging Bitch’ beer in-hand. Sam says the beer is damn good. Terry emerges for the beer and they all go fishing. During their fishing fun, Sam tries to subtly offer Terry a job at Merlotte’s, but Terry nearly screws it up with some less than ideal comments. Andy blurts that Sam is trying to offer him a job. Terry catches a catfish, but upon looking into the little critter’s face, he zones out and eventually tells Andy to toss him back in the water. Terry breaks down and cries, saying, “What if it [the job] don’t work out.” Sam: “It will.” Terry laments over spilling his beer. Sam calmly and kindly just gets him another one. Terry: “I like ya, Sam.” Sam: “I like you, too.” In that moment, Terry saw how Sam accepted him, even in a weak moment. It was a really endearing male-bonding moment.

Eric, Jason, & psychiatrist: Eric finds the room with the doc who boinked Pam. Eric reminds the good doc that he failed to ask one important question: how will he [the doc] die? The doc doesn’t care how he dies b/c he’ll die a happy man. Eric is intrigued to know his reason. Smiling like a stupid fool, he told Eric he effed Pam. Eric DOES NOT take this well, but remains calm. Jason laughs: “Aw, you did not just go there. That’s gonna cost you, doc.” Eric swiftly removed the protective contact lenses from the doc’s eyes and asked him if it was true—he confirmed that Pam said she was a prostitute back in the day and they made a trade. Eric lifts him by the collar and hauls him from the room. The doc is shocked Eric didn’t go ahead and kill him. Eric says he’s going to let Pam have that pleasure—that she’s earned that right and then called him a disgusting cretin. Oh, the look of horror on the doc’s face!!!

Lafayette’s eulogy: Laf recalls the first day on the job with Terry at Merlotte’s. He remembered looking into his eyes and seeing something he didn’t expect to see. Flashback: Laf sees Terry staring hard at the fries, letting them ruin. Laf calls him out in a nice way, but Terry is alarmed—he is SERIOUS about wanting to succeed with this job. It was then when Laf saw into Terry’s soul. And that’s when Laf funnily taught Terry how to cook fries—with a little dance. Really cute scene with Lafayette and Terry.

Eric, doc, & Ginger: Eric hears a woman screaming. Eric: “I know that scream.” Ginger is locked in a room with other humans, presumably as part of the camp’s donor program. Ginger calls him her knight in shining armor (you know, bloody overalls).

Portia’s eulogy: After her short Terry story (teaching her how to swing on a swing set), the minister asks Arlene to speak, but Sookie overhears her thoughts and learns that she is NOT ready to say goodbye, so Sook quickly offers to speak. Arlene mentally asks her if she listened in on her thoughts; Sookie smiled, and Arlene thanked her with a smile.

Sookie’s eulogy: Sookie confessed to everyone that she is a telepath and decided to tell Arlene about the first time she listened in on Terry’s thoughts (his first night on the job, same night as Lafayette’s memory). Flashback: Arlene, Sookie, and a slutty waitress were waiting on food from Terry. The slutty waitress was hitting on Terry. Arlene to the slutty waitress: “Flirt, flirt, flirt…Terry, you ought to look out for this one, she will chew you up and spit you out!” Terry gave her the chicken fingers she was asking for and called her ‘Red.’ When Arlene smiled and walked away, Terry stared at her in awe. Sookie then overheard Terry’s thoughts: he “said” Arlene was the prettiest woman he ever saw, could make him write music again, and she makes coming out of the woods not so scary. Back to present day:  Sookie: “He loved you since the second you walked into his life…not many people can say they were loved like that, but you can.” As the tears fell, Sook stepped down and Arlene pulled her into a big hug. With the strength to take the podium, Arlene walked up to give her eulogy. When a weepy Sookie returns to her seat, Alcide is waiting for her, sitting where Jason would have been—he thought she needed a shoulder to cry on. Oh, God, yes. Sorry.

Bill: Bill can’t find Eric and he knows time may be running out. He realizes he still has Warlow’s blood in him…he finds a guard still alive. He lifts the guard to his feet and orders that he take him to the white room.

Sarah: Sarah climbs to the top of one of the camp buildings to open the roof of the white circular room.

Bill, Eric, Pam, Jess, Steve, Violet, Tara, James: We zoom through the crack in the roof and see all but Steve are feeding on Bill in the center of the circular room.

Jason, Eric, & Doc walk into the room where they can observe the white room. Jason says that’s effing gross.

So, when the roof opens—and Sarah cries, “Die effers!”—no one dies…except for one. Eric catches Steve Newlin by the neck just as he’s trying to escape the sun. Bill weakly tells Eric to let Steve feed on him, but Eric refuses, citing Steve as a constant problem to them. Pushing him into the sun, Steve looks up at the ceiling and sees Sarah staring down. He screams: “I love you…JASON STACKHOUSE!” LOL Goodybye, Steve Newlin. Eric then delivers the psychiatrist to Pam, who simply says, “You take such good care of me.” She zips in and bares her bloody fangs and kind of growls at the doc.

Note: Hilarious and perfect end to a really great smarmy character--I'll miss Steve, even though he annoyed me at times. lol

Arlene’s eulogy: Flashback: Arlene remembers how Terry was her rock. Just after giving birth to Mikey, Arlene swears the baby doesn’t love her b/c he won’t breastfeed. Terry calms her down in such a sweet, gentle way; he has her take a couple of deep cleansing breaths. Once she has calmed down, Terry tells her to try and feed him again. This time, it works. Terry says he loves this family…so much. Aww!

Pam, Tara, Jess, Violet, James, & the vamps: Violet thanks him for the gift of light, but goes all batty like the rest of them. All of them are high on Bill’s blood. Some of them are dancing (Pam’s dancing with the now dead doc) and just, well, acting high. None of them, however, are paying any attention to Bill, who is dying on the floor. Pam: Have we killed everyone who needs to be killed? Jason: “All except one.”

Bill sees Lilith’s bloody sirens standing in the room.

Jason & Sarah: He chases Sarah down, finding her outside running for her car. She grabs a gun from her car, but Jason tackled her and took the gun before she could aim.

Funeral: As Terry’s funeral wraps up, Big John wants to say something. Terry’s grandmother made yet another disparaging remark regarding the guests (she’s been doing this all through the funeral). Big John decides to sing a song for Terry.

During his song…Jason & Sarah: Jason FINALLY—YES—says to Sarah how dare she speak for God! If she can talk to God, why can’t he talk to Jesus? Jesus is telling Jason that Sarah deserves to die. Sarah cries, “What will become of your soul?” Jason: “I don’t know, but at least I got one.” And because of that soul…he can’t kill her. He doesn’t want any more blood on his hands, not even hers. She jumps in her car and drives off, telling him he did the right thing.

NOTE: UGH. I SO wanted to see her character gone. Yes, she’s a great psycho-bitch villain, but she’s run her course. I’m glad, though, that it wasn’t Jason—he’s a human, not a vampire, werewolf, or shifter. Part of me thinks it would be poetic for her to be turned into a vampire, or at least taken out by one. 

Eric, Jess, Pam, Willa, James, Violet, Tara, & the vamps: They’re all running around outside in the sun, still high. Eric finds boxes of Hep-V tainted Tru Blood and starts destroying them with the help of his high vamps.

Meanwhile, there’s a truck delivering tainted Tru Blood in Honolulu. A vampire zooms up to the truck, kills the driver, and a bunch of vamps storm the truck and take the Tru Blood cases.

Bill: Lilith’s sirens tell him his time on earth is over. But Bill says he’s not going anywhere. He calls for Jessica, but his pull is extremely weak—she barely hears him. Jess runs off for Bill and James follows.

Eric: Returns to the room where he was caged and forced to watch Nora injected with Hep V. He throws the chair she was strapped to against the cage.

Bill, Jess, & James: As Lilith’s sirens close in, Jess and James rush to Bill’s side. Jess doesn’t know what to do because vamp blood can’t heal other vampires. But, as James points out, Bill’s blood just saved all of them. James offers his neck to Bill, but he’s not drinking.

Funeral: The military did the salute for Terry, folded the American flag, played taps, and handed the flag to Arlene. Sookie listened in on Arlene’s thoughts. Though she didn’t like the gunfire, it wasn’t as empty as she feared and she’s content thinking Terry would have been okay with everything. It was beautifully done…I got all teary eyed, I’ll admit it.

Jess, James, & the vamps & Ginger: James steps out into the sun, joining the other vamps. Jessica soon follows, looking forlorn.

And then Bill walks out. The awed vampires give him their thanks and applaud as Jessica hugs her maker. He is their hero. Jess suggests taking this party back to her place (Ginger says, “I’ll feed everyone!”). Violet finds Jason and tells him he feeds only her. As they walk along, Pam pauses, sensing something.

Pam & Eric: Pam stares at Eric from afar. They exchange small smiles. Pam’s smile fades: “Don’t you dare leave me.” Eric zips up and away. Pam is left crying.

Thoughts & Highlights:

-Okay, the pacing was CRAZY tonight! It would go from some MAJOR action scenes to the funeral, then back to the action…then back to the funeral. It was an emotional roller coaster.

-I thought Terry’s funeral was beautifully done. The flashbacks were SO endearing and sweet.

-With the return of Alcide, I’m wondering if Sookie will really go through with marrying Warlow. Her story with Alcide never finished—it had only gotten started, then abruptly ended when Eric and Bill showed up.

-Eric. There are rumors running wild that he won’t be back. Yeah, I couldn’t handle that.  No joke. Eric MUST stay. End of.

-Well, next week is the season finale…what do you think will happen?

Scene of the night: Because this episode really did honor Terry, I’m going to pick Terry-related scenes as my way of biding his loveable character a fond farewell. I loved the flashbacks with Terry, Sam, and Andy fishing, and the one with Terry and Lafayette. For the present day Terry-themed scene…it has to be when Sookie reveals to Arlene just how much Terry adored her.

Line of the night: Eric: “I know that scream.”

True Blood Tuesday: Dead Meat

Season six, Episode eight

Eric & Bill: Eric asks Bill how long he knew this was going to happen (Nora’s death). Bill said he never saw Nora’s death and reiterated that he has no control of when or what he envisions. Our sexy Viking is pissed that Bill didn’t return with Warlow, and when Bill reveals that Sookie had Warlow hidden somewhere, Eric flips out. Eric is ANGRY and maybe just a little bit on the ragged edge. He berates Bill for being weak when it comes to Sookie, accusing him of sacrificing Nora for his precious fairy-chick. As Eric gets more and more out of control, Bill uses his mind control powers to hover him high in the air. Eric sarcastically praises Bill (“Mother I can fly! I can fly! Praise you Bill.”) Bill: “Do you want to die, like your weakling maker, Godric?” This stopped Eric cold. Bill dropped Eric to the floor and ordered him to get out of his house. Eric: “I’m already gone.”  

Alcide, Rikki, Nicole, & her mom: Rikki’s a bitch. Sorry, but she is—she’s now challenging Alcide as pack master. Danielle and some tall blond were-woman second Rikki. Rikki doesn’t think he has the balls to kill her in a fight to the death. And so begins a little were-to-were battle between Al and Rikki. Al kicks her ass, but doesn’t kill her, which she just has to rub in his face.

NOTE: Really, Rikki? He could break you in two, yet you’re still taunting him? Stupid. Plus…um…shouldn’t ya be applauding Alcide’s kindness? Stupid. Can you tell I do NOT like Rikki any longer? lol

Tara, Willa, Jason, & Vampire Leader Lady: Leader Lady asks Jason what he did to get his butt tossed in Gen Pop. Jason confessed to sleeping with the governor’s girlfriend. Leader Lady thinks they could use this information to their advantage. She tells Jason she wasn’t kidding when she said he is now hers. She believes in God and the sanctity of their union—when she says he’s hers, he’s hers forever. Dang. Pushy, pushy.

Sookie & Warlow: As night falls, Sook once again ties Warlow up in fairyland and feeds him her blood (this time from her wrist with no extra benefits). She tells him about her conversation with Bill and asks for his help in saving her friends. Warlow’s not exactly keen on the idea, particularly because he believes Bill will backstab Sookie and try to kill him, despite Sookie promising to protect him by making his safety a condition of any deal with Bill. Warlow says if he agrees, he wants Sookie to be his…for eternity.

Sookie emerges from fairyland, complaining about the idea of having to commit to him for eternity (what happened to going to a movie and dating?). Meanwhile, Eric spies her suddenly appearing back in the Bon Temps graveyard. As Eric tries to find the entrance, a dark shadow is cast over fairyland.

Jessica & James: After what looks like a marathon sexy session, Jess and James are cuddling on the floor. Jess claims she could die a happy vampire now, but James disagrees—having to die after just meeting someone like her would be painful to him. He asks her how she was able to pull this whole private meeting off, but Jess wasn’t ready to tell him about Jason. Two guards storm the room and remove James and Jess.

Jessica & Pam: While Jessica is being escorted back to Gen Pop, Pam exits a room, buttoning her blouse; directly behind her is the psychiatrist, affixing his belt. Pam heads to Gen Pop with Jess. Jess asks if she had sex with the doctor. Pam confirms that she did. Jess: “How was it?” Pam: “Oozy, but productive.”

Sam & Alcide: Sam is boxing up some of Terry’s old things back at Merlotte’s and finds a picture of Arlene with the baby. Sam heads outside and finds Al waiting for him. Al left his pack and brought Nicole and her mom to Sam’s trailer. Sam thanks him and invites him to stay for some cold beers.

NOTE: SO nice to see old Alcide back! YAY! I love him again. I’m so weak.

Tara, Pam, Jessica, & Willa: Now all in Gen Pop, the doctors offer the female vampires their very own bottles of Tru Blood. Pam finds Tara across the room. Tara mouths the words, “I know.” [about the Hep V]

Steve Newlin & James: Sitting in Gen Pop (guys), Steve picks up his bottle of Tru Blood and sits down with James. After a little small talk, James stops Steve from drinking the Tru Blood.

Sam, Nicole, & Mom: After a little beer, Sam offers Nicole’s mom his bed, while Nicole takes the couch (Sam will sleep in his office). Sam and Nicole share a moment outside. When they hug, Sam strangely sniffs her hair…huh, what did he just smell???

Sookie, at home: After a shower, Sookie stares at the area of her bathroom where the scary, creepy Warlow appeared. She heads downstairs and pours herself a drink…maybe two or three…and listens to the message Jason left her from a couple episodes ago (the one telling her he’s going to make things right where Jessica is concerned. Don’t forget, he never specifically said where he was going, so Sook still has no idea her brother is at the very camp Bill needs her help to invade).

Alcide & Sam: Alcide didn’t take Sam up on his beer offer, but was hitting the hard stuff in Merlotte’s when Sam walked in. Okay, so, the scent thing…apparently, Al smelled it too and asked what Sam is going to do. I feel SO stupid right now because I can’t figure out what the hell they’re talking about!!!

Pam, Willa, Jessica, & Tara: Pam knocked on one of the morgue doors to talk with the Lead Lady, whose name we now know is Violet. She told Pam to eff off, she’s eating. Inside on the slab, Violet is feeding on Jason. Apparently, she’s going to make Jason work for everything—mainly talking about sex, here.

NOTE: I don’t know what to make of Violet. She’s clearly controlling, and there’s an air of superiority combined with traditionalism. The camp also categorized her as a #1, same as Eric and Pam, so she’s obviously mentally superior. Wonder what their plans are with her character.

Lafayette, Arlene, Adilyn, Holly, & Andy at the breakfast table: The kids are staying with Andy’s sister, Portia. Laf fixes an awesome breakfast for Arlene and tells her about the life insurance policy. Arlene asked when it was written—four days ago. Well, she now knows for sure that Terry planned his own death. Her mind starts going through every thought and feeling imaginable—from glamouring all his bad memories away to the constant listening in by the fairy kids. Naturally, Adilyn overhears this and calls out Aunt Arlene (in a sweetly innocent way). Arlene yelled at her for listening in on someone’s thoughts.

Sookie & Bill at Bill's mansion:  Sookie goes to Bill’s place and asks for details on Warlow’s part in his ultimate plan. Bill says Warlow would accompany him to camp and feed the vamps his blood, so none will die in that circular room. Sookie asks about Warlow’s well-being (translation: Does Bill intend to kill him afterwards?) Bill tells her the professor hasn’t synthesized Warlow’s blood yet, so he still needs him alive.

Sookie tells Bill about Warlow’s ultimatum to her—she will have to be with him for eternity, which means Sookie becomes a vampire, etc. Bill doesn’t seem to care. To me, Sook appears not only angry, but hurt by Bill’s lack of sympathy or worry at her becoming a vampire. She cusses him out and tells him she still has to think about things—she’ll call him with her decision.

Sarah: Back at camp, Sarah heads inside and tries to act like everything is normal. One of her cohorts asks her where the governor is because they have a problem—a small group of vamps isn’t drinking the Tru Blood. She asks if her ex-husband is one of them.

Sarah & Steve: Sarah has Steve on a guinea pig wheel. Man, he is SLOW—a guinea pig could outrun him. Through threats of hitting him with lights, Steve breaks and tattles on James, confessing they know about the Hep V. As she leaves, she tells him that room wasn’t even equipped with lights. DANG you, Steve!

Adilyn & Holly’s boys: The boys drop by and invite her to go out drinking. She goes.

Steve, James, & Sarah: Steve and James are now in the circular white room. Steve is sobbing bloody tears, crying Sarah’s name.

Sam, Nicole, & her mom at Merlotte’s: Sam asks Nicole to stay, confessing he’s in love with her. She agrees, but her mom is not having any of it—she’s especially concerned about their age difference and the short amount of time they’ve known each other. Sookie shows up, asking to talk to Sam. Awkward!

Sookie & Sam: Sook and Sam head back to his office where they have quite a tender embrace. Dang. Wow. Sookie didn’t know he was seeing anyone. Sook shows Sam her fairy supernova, explaining that it can kill a vamp, but it can also make her 100% human. Sam asks why she’s telling him all of this—Sookie says she always thought maybe they’d end up together. (SAY WHAT?!) Sam doesn’t take this well (DUH)—he mentions the number of times she kept him waiting in the wings, only to go off with whatever new uber-dangerous dude showed up in her life. Sam says her timing couldn’t be worse because…Nicole is pregnant!!! OMG! THAT’s what he and Alcide could smell!!! Sookie says a rather harsh goodbye...and Sam tells her a sad goodbye once she's gone.

NOTE: WTH?! Where did this scene come from? Did anyone else feel like this was just way out of place? I mean, I get the thoughts going through Sookie’s mind right now, especially with the prospect of becoming a vampire on the horizon, but…this felt a little weird. All I can figure is that this has to do with the books.

Arlene & Terry’s family at the funeral house: Terry’s grandmother wants her grandson dressed in full military garb, along with twenty-one gun shots as part of his burial. Arlene flips! She asks if they’ve lost their minds—Terry was killed by a gunshot and they want to salute him with guns! Holly takes Arlene outside; Andy soon follows. Arlene doesn’t want to take the insurance money and tells Andy about Justin, Terry’s ex-military buddy, who she thinks shot him. Andy begs her not to make him go hunt this guy down—Holly and Andy both say Terry wanted her to have the money and she should take it. In a moment of reflection, Arlene says she wants carnations—they’re happy and she wants ‘em.

Sookie at the graveyard: Sook talks to her mother and father’s graves. She talks about how all of her bright, light memories of them are gone, having been replaced by darkness and death. Death is just a pit stop on a road that keeps on going with no end in sight. She told her parents to screw off—she won’t spend eternity resting beside them. She’d rather walk the earth as a corpse.

Sarah: The spokeswoman for the manufacturer of Tru Blood we met in the first episode of the season unexpectedly shows up, pissed as all hell. Sarah walks down to meet with her. The spokeswoman asks to meet with the governor, but Sarah (quite nervously) tells her the governor has been moved to an undisclosed location after an attack on his mansion. Pushing past Sarah, the spokeswoman sees the drugs going into her product. Sarah tries to kill her—NO JOKE, we’re talking choking, slamming her head against the wall—but she gets away. Eventually, the woman gets her heel caught in the grate above Gen Pop, the men division. Sarah jumps her and bashes her head into the grate until she starts bleeding and the vamps go crazy, one even hops up and starts drinking from her face. Sarah removes the woman’s spike heel and bashes it through her skull. Sarah: “Thank you Jesus.”

NOTE: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! This bitch has totally lost her mind!! And, uh, if you see an area of floor that is unfriendly to heels and you have a crazy, murderous bitch chasing you…TAKE OFF YOUR DAMN HEELS—hell, use them as a form of self-defense or something! Good freaking grief!

Sookie: Back home after talking to her parents’ graves, Sookie calls Jason and leaves a message, telling him to be careful and also breaks the news of Terry to him and says she’ll save a seat for him at the funeral. The next call she makes…is to Bill, asking him to pick her up in an hour.

Eric, Holly’s boys, & Adilyn: Adilyn was about to get busy with one of the brothers while the other one was passed out. Eric, however, finds them. He glamours both of the boys (never saw Eric, never saw Adilyn). Adilyn runs away, but Eric catches up to her and bites her neck.

Sookie: Dressed in black, Sookie puts the finishing touches on her hair, and then stares at herself in the mirror, resigned.

Violet, Jason, Pam, Tara, Jessica, & Willa: Violet is ordered to drink the Tru Blood, even though she has Jason. As she goes to receive a bottle, she overhears Tara mention Jason’s name, but hears nothing more (Tara basically said that if Violet drinks the blood, their Jason problem is done). The man who instructed Violet to drink realizes they know about Hep V.

Soon, they’re all brought into the circular room with James and Steve. Jessica tells them they’re all going to burn.

Andy & Adilyn: Adilyn is running down the street, her neck bleeding. Andy finds her and hugs her as she apologizes profusely.

Sookie & Bill: Bill and Sookie arrive at the graveyard. She transports him to fairyland…and finds Warlow passed out, his neck bitten.

Eric has been there.

Thoughts & Highlights:

-Alcide is seemingly already back to the Al we love, so why go to the trouble of making him so unlikable in the first place? And if it had something to do with the Nicole story…

-…I don’t get it. Like I said, I like Nicole and all, but I’m SO not understanding why we even have this story, and now she’s pregnant. It almost feels like a spin-off show during the weres and shifter scenes for some strange reason.

-Eric. So, I guess he is derailing after Nora’s death. I was kind of hoping he would join Bill and they would go all badass together and take down the camp & Sarah. But, at least for now, it looks like Eric is going rogue. 

-Arlene, Andy, and Holly are just AMAZING this season. They are like little rays of sunshine, even in the most serious of storylines. Love them!

Scene of the night: I know a lot of people will say Sarah’s fight with the spokeswoman, so I’m going to give it to…Arlene’s scenes at the funeral home (and outside when she asks for the carnations).

Line of the night: Pam: “Oozy, but productive.”

True Blood Tuesday: In the Evening

Season six, Episode seven

Eric, Nora, Willa: Still trying to escape the camp, Eric has to leave Willa behind to protect Pam (and likely Tara and Jessica) from the tainted Tru Blood. Willa was IMPRESSIVE—she had no qualms about staying behind to help her new vamp family. Promising to return for her, Eric zipped and zoomed through the facility with Nora in his arms. Meanwhile, one of the guards discovers the dead doctor and guard (who is still alive, but apparently left a little loopy). Eventually, Eric attaches himself and Nora to the underside of a truck leaving the camp.

Willa & Pam: Slipping on the white doctor’s jacket Nora had on, Willa finds Pam’s cell. Pam is practicing a little yoga when Willa shows up. Willa is surprised to find Pam unchained; Pam tells her she has a “fan” in the psychiatric department. Willa shows some guts when talking to Pam—she tells her about the Hep-V Tru Blood. Pam asks who else is in the know; Willa says only the two of them. Pam instructs her to tell Jess and Tara, but no one else. If too many vamps refuse to drink the blood, the camp baddies will know they’re onto them. Willa offers to get Pam out of there, showing her the severed arm. Pam: “Severed arm. Not bad, but too obvious.” Pam tells her to get back to Gen Pop before they know she’s missing. Willa just might’ve gained a little respect from Pam.

Eric, Nora, & Bill at Bill’s mansion: Eric brings Nora to Bill, asking for his help. Eric tells Bill to give her his blood, but Nora doesn’t want Lilith’s blood in her veins. Bill can’t help b/c it’s Nora’s dying wish.

Sarah at Governor’s mansion: Sarah’s driving up to the mansion and immediately notices there are no guards and an open front door. She makes her way through to the backyard and finds the dead guards and the Governor’s severed head on his statue. Crying, she becomes more resolved than ever to take down the “monsters.”

Sarah calls the Senator in. She needs him to help keep the governor’s death a secret (via the men he keeps on his payroll to clean up his seedy messes). Apparently, she doesn’t want the lieutenant governor anywhere near the office (maybe he’s a sympathetic?). The Senator agrees and has his man make the call to get rid of the governor’s body.

NOTE: I’m so ready for Sarah to get what she deserves.

Sookie & Warlow: Sookie and Warlow were lying together, just talking. She chided him a little about his old-fashioned terminology where her sexual freedom is concerned. She also made sure he knew that having sex didn’t mean she was agreeing to marry him. Suddenly, Sookie starts hearing a crying woman in the graveyard in Bon Temps. It’s Arlene, sobbing beside a plot of land.

Sookie & Arlene: After getting dressed and using her fairy light to transport her back to Bon Temps, Sookie finds Arlene curled up in a ball next to Terry’s soon-to-be grave. Between tears, Arlene explains Terry’s death to Sookie (from the glamouring to the shooting). Naturally, Sookie is confused as to who murdered Terry and why. Sookie says she will be there for Arlene—it was a sweet, sad moment.

Sam, Lafayette, & Nicole: Sam calls home to check on Laf, make sure he’s safe from the pack. Laf tells Sam about Terry. Sam realizes he must return to Bon Temps, despite the danger, so he tells Nicole to call her mom to pick her up. He doesn’t want her in jeopardy. Nicole seems a little dismayed at letting him go back alone.

Arlene, Sookie, Holly, Andy, & Lafayette: Arlene returns to Bellefleur mansion with Sookie; Holly greets them outside, saying Arlene’s kids are okay, but they miss their mama. Upon entering the living room, Arlene unleashes on Laf (not cool. Poor Laf), blaming him for his cryptic message and yells about the box (the one Terry wanted Laf to have the key to). Andy offers to help Arlene break the news to the kids; when they leave the room, Sookie asks about this box, but Laf has no clue and, frankly, doesn’t want to know. Holly suggests they have a look before Arlene.

Jessica & Jason: The guards bring Jess to see Jason in a conference room. He says he’s there to help, promising to get her out. Jess says he doesn’t have to. Jason: “You don’t have that Stockholder’s Syndrome, do you?” LOL Jason admits to witnessing what they tried to make her do with James—it made him sick. Jessica is resigned to dying at the camp. She tells him to just go on being the sweet, wonderful man that he is. She does ask for one favor: bring James to her.

Sam & Nicole: Sam’s in the shower. Nicole decides to join him. Is it simply final farewell fling…or something more???

Sookie & Lafayette: Sook and Laf open the safety deposit box and find a hefty life insurance policy for Arlene. They then realized he planned his death. As Sookie said, “When is ever leaving your family a good thing?”

Alcide & Pops (Jackson, but I like calling him Pops): Al drops Pops off at his old place. Pops tells his son he doesn’t have to go—that pack life isn’t for them…and one day, Al will realize it.

Nicole & Sam: Nicole’s mom arrives at the motel to pick her up. Her mom thanks Sam for looking after her daughter. Nicole gives Sam her home number and bids him farewell. It’s obvious she cares for him.

Jessica, Jason, & James: Jason comes through and delivers James to a conference room for Jessica. Jess asks Jason if he could give them a little privacy (he begrudgingly does so). Jess talks about her struggle with whether their kind can be good—seeing what James did for her showed her that they can be. He simply said he made a choice—he believes vampires can choose to forfeit their souls. She asked what they did to him for disobeying their orders—he shows her his fangs—one of them is broken off. Jess warns him about the Hep-V-tainted Tru Blood. He asks if she has ANY good news at all. Grinning, Jess says, “Nope.” They spoke a little about immortality; what they would do if they could…she then really wants him to make love to her (WHAT? Jess? Is that you? Jason is RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR!). James—after making sure it’s what she wanted—obliges in true vampire fashion (the romantic kind, not the uber-fast kind).

NOTE: Um. Issue: So, Jason, Jessica’s ex-boyfriend, shows up and vows to rescue her; she asks him—as a favor—to bring James the vampire to her; asks Jason to give them some privacy; and then proceeds to have sex with the guy while Jason is standing right outside. Now, I’m thinking that’s not exactly the best way to thank your ex for his help. I dunno—the whole thing felt a little un-Jessica to me.

Bill, Eric, & Nora: Bill tells Eric about his vision of vamps dying at the camp (including Eric, Pam, Jess, Tara) and informs him about the existence of a fae-vampire, Warlow, with the power to walk in the daylight. Bill says they need to take Warlow to the camp together. Eric pledges his allegiance to Bill…IF he gives Nora his blood. After feeding Nora a good amount of blood, nothing happens. Eric believes Warlow’s blood could heal her, but Nora knows otherwise. Though Eric believes Bill is off to get Warlow’s blood, Nora and Bill share a subtle, but knowing goodbye.

Sookie, Lafayette, Andy, Adilyn, Holly, & Arlene…and Bill: Sook and Laf return to the mansion with Terry’s life insurance policy…but Andy warns them this is not the time for any news because Arlene is off her butt drunk. Laf offers to brew a little something to help take ALL the pain away.

Soon, Sookie hears Adilyn thinking—they become acquainted via fairy mind-talking.

Bill shows up to pay his respects…in the middle of the day. Sookie is floored; Lafayette is HILARIOUS; and Arlene started laughing at first, thinking she was hallucinating. When she realizes it’s real, her reaction is PRICELESS—seriously, I can’t even describe it; she was adorable, though.

Bill also pays his respects to Andy for the loss of his daughters—their encounter is brief and incredibly strained. Though Bill offers his hand, Andy is reluctant to shake it…until Holly subtly gestures for him to go ahead (imagine keeping the peace is the best move right now).

Sookie and Bill have a word in private. Once again, Bill speaks of the urgency for her cooperation in getting Warlow’s blood. It’s the only way to save Jess, Tara, Pam, & Eric because as they speak, they’re lying-in-wait in a death camp. He tells her that Eric has been there, that he escaped. If she refuses to help, there will be blood on both of their hands. Bill: “Bring me Warlow…and soon.”

NOTE: First Sookie, and now Arlene—what is it about being drunk on this show that totally makes you love the character even more?

Pam & Doc: Pam shows up for another session. He totally has a thing for her…and she knows it. Resting provocatively upon his couch, she teases and toys with him, talking in code with a heavy sexual undertone. Pam: “So you want inside…my head?” Doc: “Very much, yes.” Pam: “How deep do you wanna go?” Doc: “Deep.” She makes a trade—he gets laid, she gets inside to see Tara, Willa, Jess, and the rest of group #2 and #3 (Gen Pop).

Sarah & Jason: Sarah tells Jason the governor’s dead—meaning all the leverage he had is now gone. So, she has her guards cut Jason’s arm in a bad way and toss him into Gen Pop with the female vamps, including Tara and that bossy vamp bitch, who then claims him for herself.

NOTE: Who the hell is this bossy vamp?! And why do all the other vamps bow down to her (except Tara)?

Alcide, Rikki, & the pack: Al returns to his pack and lies about offing Nicole and Sam. Rikki steps forward and calls him on his lies. She has a couple of her weres bring forward Nicole and her mother, bound and gagged. You hear some weres in the background calling Al a liar.

NOTE: Al is in trouble. Have I mentioned how much I loathe Rikki this season?

Eric & Nora: Nora is dying as Eric prays to Godric to give her one more chance, like he did before. She says it was Eric who gave her that chance. Eric flashes back to his days serving a king in England. The king mentions he looks pale; Eric says because of the plague, there is a shortage of food. The king speaks of his lover who is tending to the sick. The king needs her in his bed. If Eric can bring her back to him, he will give him all the food he could want. Eric finds Nora, already sick and dying—there is something about her…she has courage. Nora sees a look of destiny in Eric. Eric offers to take Nora to his “father” (Godric), saying he can heal her. Nora only wanted a full life.

Back to present: Nora: “And so we end as we began.” Eric is in tears. Nora assures him that Pam and Willa will be there to comfort him—he saw in them what he once saw in her. Crying, Eric says he promised her forever; but she reminds him she only ever wanted to live fully, and he gave her that.

Nora started choking and her eyes closed; Eric, crying, holds her in his arms. Nora’s body starts cracking; he sobbed, begging her not to leave, but it was all for not—her body disintegrated into a bloody mess in his arms. With a silent rage taking over, Eric sees Bill standing in the doorway.

NOTE: Seriously, I was totally teary-eyed at this scene! I found it truly moving. Eric broke my heart. Pretty sure revenge is on the menu, folks. Would you want to be on the bad side of an enraged, heartbroken Eric? Yeah, neither would I.

Thoughts & Highlights:

-Okay, I know a lot of people didn’t like Nora, but I did, especially her interactions/reactions with Eric and Sookie.

-Sarah. Who do we think sends Sarah to meet her maker? Eric, Bill, Jason, Pam? Eric had the big kill last season with Russell, so I’m guessing it wouldn’t be him, but who knows.

-Willa has seriously grown on me. I wasn’t too sure about her in the beginning, but I totally think she is living up to what Eric would want in a progeny.
