Male Monogamists--An Urban Man Myth?

Behold an example of the rare, nearly extinct species called Male Monogamists.

Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame (and The Woman In Black) recently stated that he is a serial monogamist.  And, yes, he is happily in love.

The man is only 22 years old.  TWENTY-TWO, thinking the way a thirty or forty-year-old man should think.

Perhaps Dan should hold a seminar and relay this notion of monogamy to older men, since the concept seems lost on many of them (not all, mind you, but, dang, there are quite a few who just can’t seem to stay with one woman).

Dan also mentioned an incident where some woman implicitly invited him to have sex with her, even going so far as providing him with her hotel number.  Ugh.  Self-respect, ladies! Self-respect!

I suppose Male Monogamists do, indeed, exist, though I'm convinced they are an endangered species.

Then, awwww:

  1. Yes. Handsome. But with all that cash can't he do something with those eyebrows? Have one of his buddies cast a spell or something? Really?

I'd like to say that they are out there, but truth is some people cheat and some do not. And sometimes the ones who say they'd never, do. Relationships are a lot of work, and a lot of respect. Period.

  2. I guarantee you they still exist, but I agree they seem to becoming a very rare species indeed. I'm one of them. I think it's all the more rare in his instance though because most guys have to look for the opportunities whereas he gets them fairly thrown at him. It's a lack of self control, respect and self-respect pure and simple.

    1. Very true. It's great he's so open about being monogamous, particularly being a celebrity.

You hit the nail on the head re: self-control, respect, and self-respect. I also think communication with your significant other is absolutely critical to a solid foundation.

    They're not that bad!

Anyways. I do think they exist. I mean, at least where I live and from the people I have known, I can say that yes, they do exist.

    1. You are absolutely right. We hear more about the cheaters and not enough about the non-cheaters.

  6. He's handsome, but seriously, he could use a bit of sun. LOL And a pair of tweezers. LOL

I think they exist, too, there are just fewer of them.

    1. There are fewer of them. Or maybe they're just as disillusioned as we are. Who knows. lol
