Monday Music & Total Randomness

It's time for a mind dump Monday!  (I apologize in advance)

*  Congrats to the Giants & their fans! The Manning family DNA might as well be designated "superhero-esque." No one can say Eli isn't as good as Tom Brady now, and I'm happy for him--imagine having to live in the shadow of Peyton Manning? I mean, that's an impressively intimidating shadow!  Think Eli is creating his own shadow now. ;)

*  I thought Madonna put on an awesome halftime show. People are sooooo quick to point out her near-fall, some awkward dancing, and her lip-syncing, but, dang, she IS 53 years young, folks! Stop the nitpicking.  She looked fantastic and gave fans their money's worth.  Frankly, like my mom said, it was one of the best halftime shows we've had in a long time.

* Okay, I'm about to have a real stupid fan-girl moment (you've been forewarned).  NASCAR is about to start! *SQUEAL*  The sound of roaring engines, lug nuts flying around, tires, track suits, spiffy painted cars, the Boogity, boogity, boogity, let's go racin' boys...sigh.   So. Excited.  GO DALE!!!!!!!  Okay, end of fan-girl moment.

* Pretty sure I have Super Bowl coma because today doesn't even feel like a weekday...at all--more like Sunday, Part II.

This song ALWAYS brightens my day--I just think it's so sexy and fun.  So, turn up the volume and feel the relaxation wash over you.  (Sorry if there's an ad before the video).

Maroon 5, Sunday Morning

  1. I think the day after the Super Bowl should be a holiday. A day of recovery for us all.

  2. I watched the first and fourth quarters (because I'm Canadian) and I'm glad I watched the end. I didn't see the half time show but they frequently lip synch and so on.

    1. :) Yeah, I can count on one hand the number of acts I remember singing live during the halftime show. :/

  3. I don't understand why you don't have dozens of men begging you to marry them every single day. I would think they'd figure you would make the most fun wife ever because you love so many things they love. You wouldn't complain about watching football or going to NASCAR the way I would.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Awwww, thank you so much! *Hugs* Believe it or not, I've actually had the most unusual luck of dating mostly anti-sports men. It's uncanny. lol

  4. Totally LOVED Madonna's performance! I don't care what anyone says! She is and always will be a phenomenal performer! Certainly much better than anything that is out today under the guise of "music", that's for sure! And not to rub it in or anything but I was fortunate to have the day off today! :)

  5. What a game! New York is going crazy here -- and I have to go to work right smack dab in the middle of all that craziness tomorrow when they have the parade. It's going to be INSANE!

And, yes, it would have been so nice if today were a holiday. I was present at the office in body, but definitely not in mind.

Happy approach of the NASCAR season!

  6. The game was pretty slow at first but wowzer the 4th quarter made up for it. I liked Madonna's show. I think anyone who can dance with heels as high as hers is awesome.

    1. The 4th was awesome. Great quarter of football. Totally agree about Madonna! I would be terrified in heels that high.
