Er, huh? What? Oh...okay.

Well, this has been disappointing.  I recently found out this man I know is a L.I.A.R. (Lazy Inconsiderate Arrogant Rot).  I came up with that on a whim.  This man is a piece of work, let me tell you.  The whole thing has kind-of sent my brain into information overload.

So, what to write? Random tidbits? Um , yeah, okay.

Well, I mistakenly watched The Phantom of the Opera.  *insert tears and stuffy nose* When they sing All I Ask of You...well, just hand me the Kleenex 'cause I'm gone.  Definitely a film to watch solo.

Oh, I saw two earwigs getting it on.  At least, I think that's what they were doing.  Two bugs were having sex on my porch railing.  I mean, bugs? Really? The whole world is just get-it-on-central! Like I really needed a reminder in the form of bugs

I think my teeth are claustrophobic.  A single bristle popped off of my toothbrush and practically cemented itself in between my teeth.  Let me tell you, this is not a fun experience.  It hurt like all heck! As the discomfort increased, so did the panic.  It took far too long to dislodge the dang thing.  Fair warning--have floss and tweezers handy.

So, this weekend is the Brickyard.  I've got my trusty new AMP t-shirt (sans Dale's name and number as to avoid any possibility of a jinx) ready to go.  No doubt he'll give it his all--he always does.  Lady Luck better back off or I'll...I'll...well, I'll shake my fist at her and call her a name! *yeah, that's so not intimidating*

Did you hear the drumbeat for HBO (or equivalent) to make a series out of Harry Potter? I read an article where someone thought it would be cool to do a Game of Thrones with Harry and explore more of the books than the films did.  It seems to be gaining ground with fans.  What do you think?  Good idea?   Gotta tell you, I'd watch.

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!!!

  2. my tv just switched from giving us free HBO to giving us free shotime :( no more true blood for me, it sucks!

would it be like a series, with new actors? it would be so weird seeing someone who isn't daniel radcliffe playing harry (and the rest of the cast, for that matter) but i would still watch it if i could!

  3. "Lazy Inconsiderate Arrogant Rot"

The first three words are surely apt, but I don't see how a man can be a rot. Talk rot, yes. How about Lazy Inconsiderate Arrogant Rascal?

  4. I'd rather see HBO pick up King's The Dark Tower series. If you're doing premium cable, there needs to be more violence and sex. This would be right up their alley...

  5. A man? Lying? Surely you jest?!

America have tried to get a HP series going years ago. JK Rowling told them to go eat a dick. :)

  6. Don't have HBO, either. But that's Okay; I'm not a big fan.
Sorry you met a L.I.A.R.--unfortunately they do exist.
Hope the horny bugs didn't get you too worked up! lol

  7. I'm with OT, I'd miss the Harry Potter stuff because I don't want to pay for movie channels. You'd have to record it and send it to me. lol

  8. I don't have HBO either and have to wait until I am at work to catch up on my shows...since I am on vacation I missed True Blood and will have 2 episodes to catch up on this coming week. I am addicted to Game of Thrones now and am reading the first book...I decided it was time to read up and see what the show is all about. So far I have no been disappointed and the series has stayed very true to the book.

  9. OT: I honestly don't think it will happen anyway, but we'll see. :)

That 20 Something Virgin: Oh no! I'll keep my True Blood recaps going. :)

Yes, supposedly it would be a series with new actors, etc. How strange would that be?! But, like you, I'd totally watch.

GB: I was a little iffy on the "R." I thought of rascal, but it almost seemed too...I dunno...nice or cute or playful, even. Ultimately, I went with "Rot" because of the time factor--I just see his words, past and present, as all rotten. Suppose I extended that mental image to him. Oh well. It's what popped into my head at the time. ;)

Lost.In.Idaho: I did wonder about HBO's tendency for sex and stuff--Harry Potter wouldn't exactly be a fit in that regard. But, yeah, that's a fantastic suggestion!

Drake: lol--Sadly, I do not jest. Suppose I shouldn't have been shocked.

Oh, really?! I didn't know they already tried to turn Harry into a television series. Interesting. Wonder why they would be talking about it now if JK wasn't keen on it in the past. :/

Eva: LOL-Honestly, the horny bugs kinda turned my stomach. Really not something I wanted to see at that hour in the morning. Ewy.

    J. Day:LOL--I don't think the series will happen, but it's a fun idea to kick around.

Jewels: That's why I haven't seen you commenting on the True Blood Tuesday posts! I was wondering where you were--totally love to read what you think of where they are going with the story! Game of Thrones is so dang good! I really need to start reading that series before the next season starts. :)

  10. Sorry to hear boys and bugs are pestering you. Get yourself a fly swatter. It works on liars and flyers! xo

  11. Oh, I love "mind dump" posts :-)

I have to say, I don't think I'd be a fan of serialized Harry Potter. I love the books so much (and even like the movies, rare for me ;-)), and I love having that little bit of room for my own thoughts to carry through on any questions.

The only exception would be a prequel ... I would like to know more about the dynamic among James, Lily, Snape, Lupin, Wormtail, Sirius, and so on.

  12. I'm totally using your L.I.A.R.!

  13. Carole: Oh, I like that suggestion! I'll get a pink flyswatter and swat with style. ;)

KLo: I'm still hoping JK Rowling will write a prequel. Like you, I would LOVE to read more about James, Lily, Snape, Lupin, and Sirius! I'd even love to learn more about the early days of Hogwarts/Wizarding world.

    Yvonne: lol--Go for it!

  14. As much as I frigging adore Harry Potter, I sincerely hope they don't make a series out of it.

I couldn't imagine anybody else as the characters!

I wish people would just leave it be now that the movies have finished instead of constantly trying to wrangle more money.
