One Lovely Blog Award & Fun Facts!

That Twenty Something Virgin was sweet enough to pass me this award and I couldn’t be happier. She’s adorable, witty, and an absolute sweetheart.  Thank you so much for this award, darlin’!

There’s so much to answer with this one, so let’s get started!

  1. Link back to the person who gave you the award (see above)
  2. Complete form below
  3. Tell 7 random things about yourself
  4. Nominate 15 bloggers

* Name your favorite color: Pink is my signature color. (Thank you to Steel Magnolias for this line).

* Name your favorite song: When You Wish Upon A Star—my mama used to sing this to me when I was little.

* Name your favorite dessert: Chocolate Cream Pie

* What pisses you off? Mean people

* When you are upset, you:  Clean, then curl up, watch a fun movie, and eat cereal.

* Your favorite pet: My puppy from when I was little. Miss him so much.

* Black or White?  Black—it’s elegant, flattering, and so versatile.

* Everyday Attitude: Cautiously optimistic with a gallon of hope, a sprinkle of cynicism, and a dusting of pessimism.

* Your best feature: Reckon my heart.

* Guilty pleasure: Watching Dance With Me or Cocktail while indulging in chocolate milk and Captain Crunch (or chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream).

7 Random Things About Myself:

  1. Much like with clowns, I have a completely irrational fear of zombies.  The whole concept gives me the creeps.  And, yet, I watch that show The Walking Dead because of my True Blood withdrawals.

  1. I usually like to cuddle up in a blanket, even when it’s warm out.

  1. Um, I have a secret desire to ballroom dance *hides head* Think it would really bring out the sexy.

  1. Oh, I love organizing things! It’s thrilling to see something that needs organizing because then I can unleash my skills.

  1. I’m totally looking forward to the last ever Harry Potter DVD.

  1. I’m totally not looking forward to the LAST EVER Harry Potter DVD.

  1. The trailer to the new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, Part I, looks good and I look forward to seeing it…but so help me if it breaks any of the records smashed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.  I just don’t think the Twilight Saga comes anywhere close to Harry Potter.

Nominate 15 (and I added a couple to that):

  1. woohoo you're welcome! and chocolate cream pie sounds so good right now. and all the time because let's face it, it's chocolate cream pie.

and as lame as i think the twilight movies are (the acting is...questionable, to put it nicely) i agree, the trailer for the first part of the last one actually looks pretty good.

  2. Congrats on a well-deserved award.

  3. That 20 Something Virgin: lol--that question made me so hungry for chocolate cream pie! It's my favorite to have after Thanksgiving dinner...and now I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

    Eva: Thank you, Eva! :)

  4. Congrats my friend! You deserve it! (yesterday's Angel award too!)

I agree about ballroom being sexy. The tuxes and gowns and music all lend some serious romance to the physicality of the dances. You love to organize, eh? Hmmm. Planning any trips up North in the near future? ;~)

Love your "everyday attitude". If we all were a little more like that, this world would be a much nicer place to live.

Have a great rest of the week!
    ~Mrs B

  5. Congratulations and thanks Frisky :) I already fulfilled your nomination :p

  6. Mrs. B: Hiya! *waves enthusiastically* I need to pop by your blog!!! It's been a bit crazy around here, so I try to catch up a little each day.

Anyway, thank you so much! Ooh, I'd love to spin around the dance floor with a handsome dance instructor! Sigh.

LOL--Honestly, if people let me, I will organize for them. Just can't stop myself from organizing. lol

Aw, thank you so much, that's really sweet. *Hugs*

Jay: You are very welcome! Oh my gosh! Already?! I'm heading over! :)

  7. Why thank you Frisky! I am honored. I, too, would love to ballroom dance, but I am way too clumsy. I'd be lucky if I could walk across the ballroom without tripping, and no way could I wear high heels. Great post.

  8. Thanks so much for giving me an award and something fun to do! :) I completely agree with the Harry Potter movie...and the Twilight one too. I am increasingly sad about Harry. I was talking to a friend the other day about wishing J.K would write more books at Hogwarts. I don't care if it's about Harry or his kids...I just don't want to lose that world. :( I'm a dork. haha.

  9. Oooh, hey thanks! You're the best, Frisky! :)

You know, I'm totally indifferent to zombies. Or, at least I should say I never understood what was so scary about them. If you have two working pair of legs and eyes to see that you don't get surrounded . . . I never understood how anyone could get "caught" by them.

  10. Awww, thanks!!

Okay, you eat cereal when you're upset? Really? lol

I'd love to learn how to dance, but um, I kinda don't want to sign up for dance lessons all by my lil lonesome.

And if you like organizing, maybe I should hire you. LOL While my workspace has to be clean and tidy, my house is a disaster zone. LOL

  11. LOLA: LOL--yeah, I'm a little fearful of twirling in high heels...that could be disastrous. lol

Julianna: You are very welcome. :)

Jewels: I thought you might like this--it was a lot of fun! Oh, I completely agree, which means I'm a dork, too, and that's fine by me. :) I really, really hope she returns to Hogwarts someday.

David: :) You're welcome! Okay, see, that would make me feel better, but the last episode of The Walking Dead kinda had them, well, running...did you know zombies could run? And they were fast little suckers! So did not like that scene. I try to tell myself they're sluggish and stupid and I could take them...still...they scare me. :/

    J. Day: I pretty much eat cereal all the time, but, yeah, I tend to eat the not-so-healthy kind when I'm upset. I'm a dork, huh?

See, I don't think I'd want to dance in a class full of people. My luck they'd all be naturally fabulous and I'd be the lost one in the back corner trying to sneak out of the room without being noticed.

LOL--I would so take that on, too! If I can organize my dad's office, I can take on anything. lol

  12. I don't like clowns or Zombies either. And Santa *shudder*:)
    Thanks for the award!

  13. Maybe you should consider taking lessons in ballroom dancing, Miss Virgin. You might meet the kind of old-school gent you're looking for.

  14. Very happy for you winning the prize! I'm am sure it is well deserved!
