Smile Time

I had a whole Stereotype Slayer post planned for today, but, well, it seems we need some smiles these days.

I like to go back to things that remind me of times where life/society was far less complicated, far less stomach-churning. Don't you just love those warm and fuzzy feelings of yesteryear?

I double-dog dare you not to smile, even a little. ;) You know, sometimes I can so relate to that tree. ;)

  2. I love me some Charlie Brown. And not in the way that Michael Jackson loves Charlie Brown either.

  5. My mom used to make me a Charlie Brown tree every year, and as ugly as they were, they were so cute. I actually have the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree they sell in stores . . . my gave it to me a couple years ago. :o)

  6. So cute :) I love that tree. Sometimes these "simpler times" type things; artefacts from my childhood or those years make me break down and bawl. When I'm sad, I find they are catalysts and speed up the crying process so that I can get it out.

  7. Charlie Brown is such a classical, love the video. Anytime I want to slow down my hectic life, I usually watch I love Lucy or the Andy Griffith show, those were the days...

  8. I saw the lovely things that Rita said about you and your blog in her post today (at The Adventures of Cinderita) and I just wanted to stop by and say hi. Thanks for the Charlie Brown memories!

  9. Heh, heh -- loved the clip. You're right, this brings back memories of a simpler, more carefree youth.
