Watching the cataclysmic destruction affecting Japan certainly puts life into perspective. To witness such unbelievable loss makes "big stories" like Charlie Sheen's escapades and Lindsay Lohan's antics look terribly feeble, perhaps even shameful.
In times likes these, we should be counting our blessings and helping those in need.
Send love. Send hope.
Have faith.
Totally with you on that post, i also blogged about it. Sometimes we write about our own stuff and forget that others are in real pain.
ReplyDelete"send love. send hope. have faith." well said. I need to forget my trivial daily trials to help those suffering far greater tragedies.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
ReplyDeletetotally agree!.. even if Japan wasn't in the news, what Charlie Sheen and Lohan are going thru, they brought on themselves... No sympathy, ever from me on this...
ReplyDeleteSo true darlin... so true!
ReplyDeleteWatching the sheer power of the tsunami, I can’t help but feel terrified and awed by nature. Fortunately it seems to be fizzling out before hitting other places which have seen enough of this stuff lately, but Japan’s in pretty bad shape.
ReplyDeleteI can't listen to that song or I'll cry...but it's just terrible. I gasp and cover my mouth everytime I see video footage...so scary. I am always in awe of natural disasters and strong storms but things like this are heartbreaking. They are most definately in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true!
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head, Frisky. It is a terrible tragedy.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I can't listen to this song though, it makes me cry. But I do love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my very favorite songs and definitely my favorite rendition of it, and it's a sentiment that couldn't be more befitting what is going on in the world right now. Japan... Lybia... All over the Middle East. Even our own country. So much unrest.
ReplyDeleteWe have dear friends who have family and friends in Japan and we haven't heard one way or another. I join with you and the others in prayer for them and for our world.
Blessings,
~Mrs B
Thank you for this beautiful sentiment.
