Change, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Another Top Ten Finish!

How awesome is this? Dale Earnhardt Jr., after qualifying 33rd for today's race at Vegas, finished an impressive 8th, making it his second straight top ten finish.

What's more?  Dale is currently 10th in Sprint Cup point standings.

Happy.

Honestly, everything seems different this racing season...in a really positive way...and it got me thinking about change.

I've never been fond of the word change.  Meg Ryan sums it up nicely in You've Got Mail: "People are always saying that change is a good thing. But all they're really saying is that something you didn't want to happen at all... has happened."

For some things in life, I think she's right.

Sometimes change is just change.  But, I think there are times when change makes all the difference in the world.  Suppose that's why you take chances...because you never know when that chance will lead to the change you've been hoping for.

  2. I sometimes am afraid of change. I like the "familiar". But I know that change is necessary in life.

  4. Oh...I've NEVER EVER taken well to change. No amount of trying to convince myself that it'll eventually turn out great has worked. But yes, I did and do and will always come to that realization eventually :)

PS: I LOVE "You've Got Mail." I think I've watched it at least 20 times. :D

  5. I am not a fan of change-well good change is all fine and good but I'm always scared that the change won't be good change-what if it's bad change. What if change isn't what I should be doing-what if I should be staying and only think I should be changing? When do you know the right time for change and when you should just be happy with what you have? Yup-that's how I feel about change-makes me very anxious!!
