Bored Now

It's one of those blah days where I have tons to say, but don't want to take the time to say them. Is that bad?  Probably is, but, eh, it's a blah day...anything goes.

I need to do a mind dump. Lucky you.

Anyway, here are some things I don't get:

1. People who have NO CLUE what it means to be a friend.

2. It's called following through, keeping your word, or simple common courtesy--look it up.

3. It's called manners--look it up.

4. When the same annoying commercial airs during EVERY break.

5. Trash talk--unless it's the fun, flirty, sparring brand...not the malicious, idiotic, you-look-like-the-backside-of-donkey kind.

6.  People who desperately want to control YOUR life.

7.  Mind games--for the record, they aren't cool...they're lame and highly detectable.

8.  Lacking accountability.  It's really shocking how many people refuse to take accountability for their actions.

9. Venom spewers. Really? What's the purpose? Namely, I'm thinking about people who decided that their world would come crashing down if they didn't tell me how it only makes sense that someone like me would cheer for Dale Jr. I won't go into detail on what was said about Dale.  Apparently, according to XYZ, if I cared about my status, I would switch to Kyle Busch.

A. I'm happy and proud to cheer for Dale the driver and Dale the person.
B. I'm not a fair weather fan in ANY sport.
C. You don't even like racing...and I have a middle finger on each hand.

  1. Why the hell would it bother someone else who your favorite driver is??? I mean, yes, I like to rag on Gordon fans as much as the next girl, but it's just lighthearted joshing.

  2. I could not agree with you more. I feel that I am slowly losing faith in womankind and I think that a lot of people have a hard time being a true friend. I used to get offended when people would refer to me as "one of the guys" but lately I have decided that may not be such a bad thing after all. Although I am damn proud of the two voluminous pieces of womanhood under my tank top, I am not pleased to associate myself with a gender that backstabs, gossips, and crushes feelings. You are right- it isn't cute. It is hurtful. Today I am proud to be one of the boys.

  3. People are so darn unhappy with their own lives they think attacking someone else will make them feel better.

    Wrong!

  4. Gosh i dnt like fake friends and espcially fake friends that always dole out the most malicious insults under the pretext of "its just a joke". Like dont insult me and make me feel less than you, then tell me it's just a joke!!..when u have mean friends, what do u need enemies for?lol

yet, I'm still here... still reading... ;)

As for friends that don't know how to be one... find new ones. It's that simple. -J

  6. My brother used to trash-talk me all the time: he's a Detroit Lions fan, and I'm a Chicago Bears fan. And it just eats at him, because he thinks that because I grew up in Michigan that I should automatically be a fan of every sports team that comes out of the motor city. I finally started quoting each team's record to him for the last decade whenever he'd start his crap...he finally shut up.

I wish more people knew what it really meant to be a friend. Too many nowadays (in my experience) are far too concerned with themselves and the world revolving around them. I admit, I have no really close friends. One too many times in the past of being stabbed in the back and/or had malicious gossip spread by people I was dumb enough at the time to believe were a 'friend'. So I trust few anymore.

My ex was a control freak...the jealous kind, too. I really don't know now what I ever saw in him.

  8. whatever happened to if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? more people should follow that!
i know everyone says that girls are terrible to be friends with but i've never been one of those kinds of girls who backstabs people. i mean if you don't like someone, why be around them so much? i've been pretty lucky with my close friends, although i remember back in middle school some crazy stupid stuff happened with some other girls. middle school sucked for me!

  9. Jenner: Literally, I have NO idea.

Erin: Women can be extremely catty, and I don't get it. I mean, we're all kinda in the same boat, right? Why on earth wouldn't women want to support one another? I don't get it.

Ms. Caboo: I'm afraid it comes down to that. How sad!

kitkat: Ah, that "it's just a joke" punch in the gut. Yeah, I know about those. And, no, they are not funny--it's just someone being mean with a smile. Not cool.

Julianna: Well, Jeff is Dale's teammate, so it's all good. ;) True friends are hard to find. I remember someone saying that they could only count on one hand the number of true friends they have...and the number didn't fill up that one hand. That always stuck with me.

chocolateangel: Oh, I hear ya! I get bashed on for being a Cowboys' fan ALL the time, but, no matter. Like you, I just talk football and it usually shuts them up. I don't mind the teasing-type of thing, which usually involves a little back-and-forth sparring--that can be fun.

OT: :) And yet, those things seem so simple. For things seemingly simple, I often wonder why they are so hard to find.

Aubree: YES! That and the Golden Rule (Do unto others...) seem to have fallen by the wayside. I've never understood the whole backstabbing thing--sadly, some women never outgrow it.

  10. the golden rule! i kind of forgot about that :/

another thing, i used to be friends with this girl i eventually stopped talking to, and ALL she talked about was how much she hated this other group of people and how much her boyfriend annoyed. it just wasn't fun to listen to! and since she seemed to hate EVERYONE i had no idea why she liked me! that's just not someone you want to be friends with.

  11. First off 2 and 3 made me think of the Ashton Shephard's new song "Look It Up" and secondly I am going to give you one of my dad's favorite sayings, "People Suck" yes even those you think are friends. I have had my fair share of people who have sucked and I can always here my dad saying it in the background everytime I am let down, disappointed, stood up, or made fun of. It's a simple statement that has some truth to it. I truly hope tomorrow will be better for you :D

  12. My dad's fave saying is "It will all come out in the wash."

  13. Aubree: So, she was a Negative Nelly--the girl who downs everybody around her, apart from a select few. Yeah, that's the kind of person who can really bring you down.

Jax: Whoo-Hoo!!! I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the "Look It Up" reference!!! haha Good on you!!!

LOL--"People Suck." Simple and straight to the point. Sometimes, some people do, indeed, suck. lol

Carole: Aw, I like that one--it's in the same vein as "what goes around, comes around."

  14. Can I please add "vampires that WON"T bite your neck even when you ask POLITELY" and the twisty thing that goes around the loaf of bread?

Both of those things piss me off something fierce!
