Hickory, The Scottish Deerhound Wins Best In Show!!

Hickory, the Scottish deerhound, has won Best in Show at the 135th Westminster Dog Show, marking the very first win for the breed.

For her final show before retiring, Hickory was absolutely stunning.

All of the dogs were beautiful, putting on quite a show for the crowd.

My other favorite was the little Pekingese--seriously, so cute.

Congrats to Hickory!

Did y'all watch? What did you think?

  1. I'm always happy to see a hound take Best of Show! Hickory really is beautiful. The Leonberger, Chewee, had me at hello though, what an accomlished dog!

  4. This is an upbeat, cute post. I saw a blurb on my AOL page about this, and it reminded me of the movie "Best in Show." I loved that movie. Did you see it? It was hilarious.

  5. I didn't watch but I also love the working dog class, hunting dogs...and wherever the Great Danes end-love them! I hate that the tv edits out most of the dogs though. :-(

  6. I didn't see it (I shot my television two years ago), but I always wanted to be the judge at the end and tell everyone to hug their dogs because they're all winners. Sappy, I know, but I love animals. =P
