Evil Elevator

So, I'm not a fan of elevators. When I was little, my dad used to "bounce" the elevator as it climbed; I was convinced it would plummet. Since then, I've never been fond of the whole holding-box-attached-to-a-cable-that-could-snap-at-any-moment-and-drop-you-to-your-death thing.

As you get older, I realized there is another elevator feature every single and/or virgin must fear: elevator music. Why? Because the day you choose to ride in an elevator will be the day it chooses to play a sappy version of All By Myself while you are trapped inside its inescapable metal hell.

Yeah.  Ain't it great?

Note to self: Avoid evil elevators; take stairs--get exercise, no horrid hate music, no snap-capable-cable.

  1. You would have freaked out if you were on my class trip to Quebec City. For some reason, we thought it would be a cool idea to see how many people we could fit in the elevator. It went halfway up the first floor... and then abruptly down a floor and a half. (Luckily, we turned out OK.)

  4. Your Dad sounds like fun!. I'd do the same.. My husband would hate getting in glass elevators.. he would stay close to the door and not look outward w/the rest of us.. We'd tease the heck out of him...lol

  5. Little Match Girl: Great movie, but I always mute the part with that hateful song. Wretched song! Seriously, it has to be one of the most depressing songs ever recorded!

Kalei's Best Friend: Oh, yeah, my dad is a blast, but, dang, he scared the crud out of me! lol Oh, I won't go near a glass elevator. lol Noooooo way!

  6. "in-escapable metal hell"...you are too funny! My dad used to wait 'til we were at the top of the ferris wheel and then rock the car. Just another reason my blog is called "Surviving Boys" -J
